Nursing Collab

Faculty members of online nursing programs from many different academic institutions found each other through the ice breaker Discussions forum and are now able to exchange and develop resources together in the Community Nursing Collab. Members share how they are using multi-media programs to create tutorials. Mary Mcclay (Walla Walla University) uses Articulate to create SCORM modules in Desire2Learn.

As resources from the Nursing Collab are developed and shared, they will be published to the Community Learning Repository (LOR). If you are teaching or supporting online nursing programs in Desire2Learn and would like to join the collab, contact us at Community@Desire2Learn.com. As this area continues to grow, we will offer Self Registration on the Community.

Building an Online World of Resources

The Community Learning Repository (LOR) is currently under construction. So don your hard hats and help us to build our shareable resources. Learning Repository supports metadata harvesting using the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) standard to handle requests for metadata. This will open a whole new world of resources to the Community. To learn more, view the latest Learning Repository documentation in the Documentation Library.

If you have resources that you would like to share, publish your resources to the Test LOR in the Community and drop the Community Coordinator a line at Community@Desire2Learn.com so that we can publish them to the approved LOR.
